One of my BEST friends ever, Buddy Boy, a German dachshund, died earlier this year. I drew this in the fall. I was assigned to draw a still-life of meaningful objects that were all related to one another. I almost INSTANTLY knew what I wanted to do. I gathered his urn, biscuits, collar...and my grandma added in the framed picture of him, along with the pumpkin. To me, the pumpkin is a symbol of the fall. Therefore, my message was that I was missing him months later, in the fall. Hopefully, I'll see you again one day, Bubba ❤
